Yuanda appointed to build facade on iconic North Sydney project
Yuanda Australia has been appointed to design, build and install the façade on the striking 1 Denison Street, North Sydney, development which is to become the new home for the Nine Network.
The $1 billion development, by the Winten Property Group, will feature a 37-storey office tower with more than 60,000 M2 of lettable space.
When completed, around 2020, it will be North Sydney’s tallest tower with panoramic views of the city, harbour and greater Sydney area.
It will boast 5 Star Green Star and 5 Star NABERS ratings, due in part to the ultra-clear, low-emissivity glass that will be used by Yuanda Australia in the façade.
Yuanda Australia General Manager Graham Romer said the striking and unique architectural design presented a range of challenges that could only be managed by a façade manufacturer with global experience and the strength of Yuanda.
“Yuanda has more than 10 years’ experience in the Australian market, successfully delivering facades on over 70 projects, for many of our nation’s most recognisable building projects,” Mr Romer said.
“This means that the Australian industry knows they can rely on us to do the job on time, on budget and to the highest standard.
“At the same time, Yuanda’s experience around the world delivering some of the most challenging projects globally means that we have the expertise to meet the needs of a project such as 1 Denison Street.
“It’s this combination of global expertise and local knowhow that makes Yuanda Australia the leader in the Australian market, and the most trusted provider of façades and curtain walls for the Australian construction industry.
“We’ll use all this experience and knowledge to work with the architects and builders on the 1 Denison Street project to bring their vision to life.”
