Brisbane's newest landmark taking shape with Yuanda Australia
Brisbane’s newest landmark is quickly taking shape as Yuanda Australia began the façade installation of Queens Wharf Tower 1 last month.
Yuanda has been awarded the façade project for towers 1, 2 and 3 of the city’s newest dining and entertainment precinct, kicking-off the installation process with the first panels on June 4th.
However, the project has not been without its challenges.
Mr Paul Harding, Project Director of Queens Wharf Towers, said Yuanda and their installers had to develop a strategy to suit the building architecture and façade materials.
“Given the unique design, size and weight of the panels, the first to be installed are the most challenging to overcome,” Mr Harding said.
“Fortunately, our team are very experienced and we were able to quickly adapt to a system that has the façade progressing at a steady pace.”
This week sees the façade reach level 5 of the tower.
“As we were able to deal with the hardest obstacle quickly, the installation is continuing smoothly and we are really excited to see the development coming together,” Mr Harding said.
The completion date of Tower 1’s façade is on track for the end of March 2022.
